Bio: Dr. John Mulford

John Mulford is Director of the Regent University Center for Entrepreneurship (RCE) and Professor in the School of Business and Leadership.

Mulford has trained, consulted, and lectured on business and economic development with groups of business, education and government leaders in many countries, including Uganda, Rwanda, Zambia, Burundi, Cameroon, South Africa, Guatemala, Bolivia, Mexico, Spain, Morocco, Indonesia and Ukraine. He has been active researching and furthering the Business as Mission movement, serving on boards of FCCI, C12, NPIM, and launching seven business development centers in Africa & India.

Through the Center for Entrepreneurship, Mulford has consulted with franchise organizations, helped incubate a non-profit franchise, and franchised the business development center concept begun in Rwanda.
Before coming to Regent University as a founding faculty member in the School of Business, Mulford conducted research at the Rand Corporation and served as Vice President and senior economist of First Interstate Bank. At Regent, he served as Dean of the Business School from 1990-2004. From 1994-1997 and 2000-01, Mulford also served as Regent’s Executive Vice President of Finance and Operations & CFO, and from 1994 to 2002, he served as Chief Investment Officer, managing the university’s $300 million endowment.

Mulford earned the B.S. in Engineering, Magna Cum Laude, from Brown University, and the Ph.D. in Regional Economics from Cornell University, where he was a National Science Foundation Fellow.

Bio: Jason Benedict

Jason Benedict is an Enterprise Development Consultant and Trainer with over 15 years of multi-sector experience.
Jason earned his MBA from Regent University in 2002, and since that time has served as a consultant, coach, trainer, board member or mentor to hundreds of businesses on several continents and across most industry sectors. Jason is the president of Touchstone Business Solutions an enterprise development consulting firm he founded in 2009. His firm focuses on helping business owners grow personally by acquiring the knowledge, skills and behaviors of world class enterprise builders and their businesses scale through building system and people.

He is also a Strategist with the Regent University Center for Entrepreneurship. A university think tank where he has been active starting business incubators around the world since 2008. These incubators have helped hundreds of businesses grow in developing economies. Jason is the author of several books a husband and father of five. He and his wife Kim serve as a team in their common mission to see institutions cities and nations transformed.
